Is Animal Chiropractic A Real Thing?

The simple answer is yes!

Dr. Mary Gibson in a Licensed Chiropractor who has completed upwards of 240 hours of training and additional written and practical board examinations at one of the five accredited animal chiropractic program in the nation – Options for Animals.

However, Animal Chiropractic isn’t a new thing. It has been around since the early 1900s. Studies referencing Animal Chiropractic dates back as far as 1899, where D.D. Palmer wrote in a late edition of “The Chiropractic” that chiropractic benefits horses. In addition D.D.’s kin B.J. Palmer, was famous for his application of chiropractic techniques to animals and humans in the 1940s.

While history shows how long chiropractic practices on animals have been around, the anatomy of animals is really what matters.

Animals, like humans, have brain stems, spines, and vertebral bones. When the vertebral bones are out of alignment or “subluxated,” they cause disease. Chiropractic adjustments relieve that pressure in the body while simultaneously aligning the vertebral bones, boosting the immune system, regulating the nervous system, and so much more! Chiropractic takes the body from a disease state to a state of ease.

I have seen animals with a variety of issues, including limping, coughing, collapsed tracheas, inappropriate bowel movements/urination, anxiety, performance enhancement, behavioral problems, etc. Seeing how adjustments can relieve and help these animals and their various conditions has been AMAZING. Chiropractic helps 100% of everything!
